The International Association of Agricultural Museums (AIMA) welcomes you to its virtual conference, Past and Future Agricultures, hosted by the Museum of English Rural Life, 22-26 July 2021.

AIMA began in Prague in 1966. Its purpose is to educate the public about the significance of agriculture to human society, to explain the many ways that agriculture has evolved through time, and to facilitate dialogue between museums across the globe about agricultural topics and discoveries.

The AIMA is an affiliate of the International Council of Museums and theĀ current Strategic_Plan reflects this global scope. It is governed by an international Executive Committee, elected to their terms by the AIMA membership. They meet regularly to plan activities. The 19th Congress, AIMA 2020, postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19, will be held at the Museum of English Rural Life, University of Reading, UK.
