The Rural Museum Network welcomes you to the next “Chewing the Cud” webinar, From Field to Film: Capturing rural life at the Down County Museum, presented by Dr. Kris Reid, Curator at the Down County Museum.

Kris will explore From Field to Film – Capturing rural life at Down County Museum. Down County Museum has a large collection of farming materials that represent the agricultural story of this region. Alongside this is a rich collection of over 50,000 photographs, the majority of which represent rural life in the 19th and 20th centuries. Kris will explore the story of the museum’s collection and how photography can enhance visitor engagement with the objects they encounter.
The Rural Museum Network webinars are very informal get togethers for members, held over Zoom. You can learn about the Rural Museum Network HERE.
Chewing the Cud will then take a short break during Summer 2026, but will be back in September…more details to follow!
